5. Complete

“Don’t mistake activity with achievement” – John Wooden

By the time a project is complete, people are usually rushing to move in and builders are thinking about their next job. People are honestly tired of the construction process and just want it to be over. But did you get what you want? Are any payments remaining?

If work isn’t acceptable or contracts aren’t complete, it can draw out the process even longer. It’s crucial to make sure everything is complete and handed off before closing the books on the project.

At the end of you project, you need to:

    • Understand what costs remain, if any
    • Be sure all completed work is acceptable
    • Have everything you need to own and operate your house

YourBuildCoach gives you the tools to ensure all work and payments for all contracts have been completed to your satisfaction:

  1. Acceptance Checklist
  2. Handover Guide
  3. Maintenance Records
